Master Griller Bruno!
Barbecue helpers -
Gary and Kate DeGraaf were able to come and join in the celebration. It was a delight to spend time with them and their children, Lucie and Anthony, again.
In the evening Bruno and Aurelie invited some good friend of theirs, Bruno and Carine Vandrepotte, and their four children (Maxence, Maltide, Adam, and Alexia) over for supper. Incredibly, we had another extravagant barbecue. If there's one thing we've learned about the French people, it's that they know how to eat. Their food is excellent, their meals last for a long time, and they are very relationally focused.
After the meal, Coach Abbott quickly got the kids involved in a game of softball catch. They really enjoyed learning from Greg. Even with the language barrier, Greg was able to communicate with them very well.
The weather cooled considerably after the sun went down. We should sleep well tonight.
So glad to see pictures of Lucy & Anthony! They're growing so fast! Glad you were able to celebrate the 4th in such style!
